I WAS JUST LOOKING AT MY TANK AND I AM SEEING ALL OF THESE LITTLE THINGS RUNNING AROUND ON THE SAND AND ON THE SNAILS (MEXICAN TURBOS). THEY LOOK LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN FISH AND SHRIMP BUT THEY ARE ALL OVER THE SAND BED. :notsure: ALSO I HAVE ON SOME OF MY AND ROCK MOSTLY IN ONE CORNER LITTLE WHITE SWIRLY THINGS? PLEASE ANYONE KNOW ABOUT EITHER OF THESE THINGS?

I Am Thinking It Kind Of Looks Like A Amphipod, But I Am Not Sure They Are So Small I Can't Even Make Them Out. We Do Have A Feather Duster And Feed Phytoplankton Which On This Thread It Says That Helps To Reproduce Them. I Am Stunned My This I Have Never Looked This Close At My Tank At Night.

very small , ok you know the antena (sorry about spelling) on the snails like that or maybe a little smaller. 1mm. I don't know what else to compare it to. I am only seeing them on the sand bed. They move very quickly too. i just hope it is nothing that is going to affect my tank in a negative way.

this is all a good sign that you have a good sandbed these little creatures eat all the debris in the sand keeping it clean for you

Now This Morning I See A Whole Munch Of Them Stuck On The Glass And The Powerhead Is Kicking Them Around. The Ones On The Glass Are Very Small (i Would Say 3-4 Grains Of Sand Put Together, That Is Their Size) And The Larger Ones Are On The Sand. Are You Sure These Are Ok, There Are So Many Of Them? Will The Creatures In My Tank Take Care Of Them? I Have A Arrow Crab, Fire Shrimp, Sally Lightfoot Crab, 2 Emaralds,10 Hermits (blue And Red), 5 Small Snails, And 10 Large Turbo Snails. For Other Things I Have 2 Condylactis, I Yellow Polyp, Couple Of Zoos, 1 Feather Duster, 1 Large Xenia, And 1 Small, 1 Goniopora, And I Think This Is It.
In Addition What Did You All Think About The Little White Swirls On The Rock/glass? Please Any Advice Is Great.

these little white swirls maybe small featherdusters that built tubes. i have some of these and they just built tubes all across my rocks and start poppin out everywhere. also these little creatures maybe copepods or others of the same species. these are beneficial and fish and other things find them to be a tasty treat.

these little critter both do the the same job they eat the excess waste in your tank normally a sign of over feeding cut the amount of food your adding per feeding a bit as the waste is depleted they will also start to disapear they will however stay in your tank but less waste will keep the population undecontrol.some fish accually eat this little things.I know my pearlscale butterfly does.but they are harmless.email me at lyndog13@aol.com ill be glad to send you a link to this subject in referenc to this and other issues you may endure
