Has anyone made an tank out of plexiglass? I can get up to an inch thick plexi. My concerns are it bowing, and making sure it doesn't leak.

Plexi Glass is just a brand name of acrylic. What is most important is you get clear cell cast acrylic. I've built a lot of tanks, mostly small refugiums and they have come out fine.

What kind of cement did you use? What size were the tanks, what was the easiest way to put them together.

I use Weld-on #4 and # 16, both made by IPS. I've built 20g, 40g and smaller tanks, I've built tanks in the shape of a triangle, a weird little nano refugium, and I am planning my big tank right now(shooting for the 300g size) I tape the acrylic together how i want it(using electrical tape) then I use the #4 thin weld with an insulin needle and inject it along the seems. After that I go back with the #16 and fill in any where I missed with the thick stuff. If I am building a big tank I do just the opposite I use the thick stuff first, and fill in with the thin, and little pieces of shavings.

Depends on the height, not the volume of the tank, what size are you planning on building?

Well I'm not for sure, mabye around a 30 or 40 gallon, I just want to be sure it won't leak, being the first on to make. What dimensions were the 40g you made.

Make a little tank, like a 5g to practice. I've made a 40long that was really long only 13" in height
