Your 2.5 Mini Bow is exactly the nano I would like to start! It looks great, along with that lighting. Could you tell me a few details about it?
I read online that you could buy a this bulb (attached post from online):
All Glass Mini Compact Bulb

This is a great replacement bulb for upgrading your small aquarium. 10W Mini Compact fluorescent bulb fits many standard incandescent aquarium hoods and strip lights, generating the equivalent light output of 50 Watts. 6500°K bulb promotes live aquatic plant growth, while enhancing fish coloration and lasts 6 times as long as an incandescent bulb, produces less heat, and uses less energy. Measures 5" long.
But anyway, if you respond to this, your nano looks cool, so any helpful hints you could pass this way would be great! Thanks.

Flame,
Thanks, I have just finished the cycle on the tank and will be taking a few more pics soon.
I can't see the bulb you are talking about however I have an idea. I think this is the same thing that my brother is running in his 2 gallon hex and everything is going fine (his is a 50/50, purchased at a LFS in Houston). I would have gone with the screw in type but I had the bayco laying around collecting dust.
To mount my fixture, I removed the incandescent equipment and cut out the plastic with a dremel tool. Secured the light with a ziptie. I will be making somthing to cover the filter from the light. As it stands right now, the light is causing the filter to grow algea quick. All of my water top offs are from my 46 reef tank so I am not adding any chemicals to this nano and everything is checking out fine. I hope this helps and if you have any questions let me know.
