i have these things on one of my rock(actually its a branch as you can see in the picture)it looks like a cotton, cylinder or oblong in shape with some bristle like stuff surrounding the opening at the top. it does not move(as far as i know). something to be concerned? i dont know if this is aipstasia in the future.

From you guys pictures the Q-tips appear to be growing out in broad daylight. Mine only grow in caves or dark areas like inside my skimmer.

when they go through a surge they will grow everywhere then as the dieoff the ones in the open are the first ones to go.
