I'm wondering if anyone here has ever done there own plumbing on there fishtank.... im doing the rubber hose/pvc thing...and its extremely annoying...does anyone know how long silicon takes to dry? (i got it for aquarium use) ..im thinking i need to wait a few hours...but since i had to use chemicals for the glues and what not...im going to run the tank with freshwater for a hour or so to break most of the chemicals off the pvc, plus that way i dont waste salt.
please any and all suggestions are needed!!!!!!!!!

most silicones take about 8-12 hours to dry I don't know if it's the same for tank silicone but I know it takes a ewhile to dry

when I did some plumbing work on my chiller, it took 24 hours for the silicone to dry completely. I would suggest waiting at least until then. Otherwise the water may wash some away and you'll end up with a leak.
