Plumbing Tank Questions?

I'm plumbing my tank so I can get it filled early this week, and start the cycling process, is it ok to use purple primer, and pvc glue on the joints? I really dont know what else to use, but will the primer or the glue contaminate the water in anyway? Obviously I'm going to let it dry before any water is introduced.

NOT a problem using purple primer/ pvc glue,
about three months ago I did all the plumbing on my tank with all the above, let it seat for short period and your finished.
one thing I did stupid was that I wanted to see if it was air tight so I blew into one of the pipes""""""""" never do that , the fumes where like sucking the exhaust of a car . yes aleast run water thru it. Remember the glue sets fast so do all the cutting and fitting first , then glue the whole set up.
90gal glass -1' bulkheads /1/2 returns 20gal sump
also use ball valves if you want they came in handy.
PS I own a hardware store so plumbing is a good dept in my store, feel free to ask any other plumbing questions
good luck
