Plyable tubing VS. PVC

Hi All, I am not the most handy person in the world. Installing new filters on the tank is a pain for me. Here is my question, how do you know when to use plyable tubing and when to use PVC. I know that most of the fileters come with the plyable tubing. But it there an advantage to installing PVC? Thanks. Scott

PVC will hold it's "ID" better tha most of the pliable tubing/hoses will...most hoses will "oval out" and you will lose flow...
I like the "Spa Flex" tubing as it will hold a true ID, can eliminate a few "flow restrictig" elbows and can be glued to most PVC fittings such as couplers, "Ts" and Ball valves...
