My dream slipped right through my fingers.
Neighbor was selling one in an amazing condition for only $10,000!!!!!!
New engine with alot of nice specs and it was even purple!!!!
There is another one down the road that obviously needs work but the body is in good condition. I wait for the day they put a "for sale" sign in the window.
What is your favorite car?

2 great cars mentioned there. The 850 was a great car from BMW, would love to see them bring it back. Cuda is a wonderful muscle classic.
67 Shelby GT500 would be my all-time favorite.
Ferrari 575 Maranello is my favorite exotic.

My all-time favorite is the Ferrari F40. The last car designed by Enzo Ferrari before his death makes it just that much more special.
A very close second is a '69 COPO 427 Camaro. Short of a '70 LS6 Chevelle, the fastest factory muscle produced.

Was it a Cuda or a Barracuda? If they let a Cuda go for 10K something was seriously wrong. That is less than half of what decent models are going for. Been car shopping and one of these cars are on the list

It really depends, if it has a crate motor in it, that has a few miles on it. And is a run of the mill model (like today's mustang GT) I'd say that is about right.
My personal favorite

I think in 67 they released an aluminum 427 or a 454 I can't remember. Was it the LS1? Maybe someone can help me remember. I want one with those in it.

My favorite was my old car; '69 Mach I, SCJ, 4 speed, detroit locker. Wish I still had that thing. My favorite simply because it was mine once and I still dream about it from time to time

67 big blocks 396 and 427 both with specific hoods.
68 427 454 same hood just different badgeing.
Had a 68 427 stupid car! Could go like crazy, it was the stopping that was a problem!
Though pretty happy with what I drive now.....

LS1 is a small block that came originally in the C5 models and was used in early C6.
The 1967 C2 monster motor was a L-88, 427 C.I. which was rated @ 430 to 550 BHP depending on who wrote the spec sheet up.
The aluminum 427 motor was the ZL-1 it was available in the 69 C3
The bad boy of the 454 was the LS-6

I LOVE the look of the split window for some reason the spine really appeals to me.
Plus they are rare since people thought they were dumb.
But that being said, I'd take any vette from that generation, those are by far my favorite era of vette.

L-88 was what I was thinking. I knew it was an L something just couldn't remember what.

Man did Chevy make it confusing trying to please the masses with all the motor configs. or what, LS1,LT1,ZL1, LT5, L88,L82,LS6, LS7 AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.
Being that your from Houston you should see lots of the Corvette configurations, at one time Houston was the Corvette capital of the world, Somthin' to do with NASA and the Astronauts.

Being from ardmore you should see lots of shortbed configurations. Rusty, rustier and shotgun blast in the passenger door...

Something to do with okies... I kid I kid (I've lived in north texas for much of my life and my brother lives in Tulsa.) And I've actually been to camp very near to your avatar.
You don't see a ton of vettes here. I really don't see classic vettes all that much. There are a couple classic car or vette dealerships where you can take a peak as some beauties. What I do like to do is drive around in the galleria area or in other richer areas, because on sunny weekends the gaudy italian sports cars come out... And god a ferarri sounds awesome.

My sister and brother-in-law live in Spring, and he's a member of a car club that have little impromptu car shows on Fri nights, usually in the Woodlands areas. You really should find one and check them out. Last summer I saw a GT500 and a Shelby Cobra with Carrolls' signature on the glove boxes. plus many exotics and a few antiques that were really cool.
I'm an Antique guy I guess, since my one and only classic is a 1928 Ford closed cab pickup. and yeah short wides are dime a dozen around here.

The "Cuda'" Was a specific model of Barracuda.
