I'm planning to upgrade to a 150 in the coming months and I want to make a plan in my head as to what I can keep. This way I can do some research on everything. This will be a 6' long tank, 150 gal, FOWLR.
This is what will get transfered from my current 65gal tank:
2 maroon clowns
1 foxface
2 wrasses (yellow and flame)
Other than these, I would like an Emperor Angel for sure. Would also be interested in a Trigger or two, a Tang like a Hippo, maybe a Butterfly. Other than the Emperor Angel, I'm not set on any of these so any suggestions will be great. Thanks.

Maybe I should have posted this in the general fish section. Can an admin move it for me please?

A Hippo tang would work, just make sure it's big enough when you get it that it'll hold it's own against the triggers if they get aggressive towards it. You could also do one of the heartier Acanthurus tangs like a Sohal or Clown, since they're a bit more aggressive as it is.... though clown tangs get pretty big, but I'm sure it would be ok if it's the only tang.

How about a powder blue tang? Are these hardier than hippo tangs?
Also, what are some good triggers that are not absolute killers?

Powder Blue, Powder Brown, and White Cheek (aka: Gold Rimmed, sometimes sold as Powder Brown) are all fairly sensitive. I'd go for the hippo before one of these.

Good Triggers (less aggressive) would include
Bluethroat...The perfect trigger IMO, available in Male and Female which do great together.
Sargassum...also great but a little more spendy and rare
Pinktail, Niger, Black Hawaiian all good as well, but possible a little more aggressive.
Just my opinion, but I think Powder Blue can be very hardy as long as you understand their basic needs, and that is great water, and good diet, they do tend to be more aggressive than Hippo though. This is the case with most members of the Acanthurus family of Tangs.

Thanks for the suggestions. I really like the Bluethroat Trigger and the Sargassum. Is the Undulated Trigger very agressive? How about the Humu Humu?

Undy is one of the most interesting fish there is (you can tell I like it by my avatar), they have loads of personality...Unfortunatly it may be inch for inch the meanest fish there is in the hobby....Huma IMO is not aggressive, I had one for 5+ years and he never showed the least aggression toward any other fish, they have loads of personality too. By reputation, Humas are a 3 on a scale of 1-5 in potential aggressiveness, I was probably just a little lucky with mine...Undy a 5, Bluethroat a 1 (just to give a reference).

So this is the list so far:
2 Maroon Clowns
1 Yellow Wrasse
1 Flame Wrasse
1 Foxface
1 Emperor Angel
1 Hippo or Powder Blue Tang
1 Bluethroat Trigger
Is that too many for a 150g? Not enough? Is there space to add a Huma Huma too? The Wrasses and Clowns don't get huge.
