pocillipora question

Can 2 separate colonies of pocillipora coral be place in close proximity to one another in a tank. Thanks for your input- Jan

How close is close?
They are not an aggressive SPS and they should not battle one another. I have a pocillipora just a couple inches from a tricolor acro. SPS dont really attack one another unless they are actually touching. and even then, some sps will grow together without a battle.

some fish stores have two different type of poccilo on the same disk. I would keep them away from each other, you never know when one may not like the other and nuke it.

I have 3 different types within 6-8 inches of each other. I just wouldn't have them touching, that's all.

I have a red and green pocillopora, and for all intensive purposes, they are touching each other, and within 6 inches of a Tri-Color Acro. Doing great
