So. I kept a mandarin for sometime (almost a year) with some success. It died of a bacterial infection on it's tail fin, but he was very fat.
I am embarking on a new setup that is 150 gallons with a 30 gallon combo sump/fuge.
I am planning on keeping a mandarin.
I was always told the tigger pods were the right choice to seed the tank. While the numbers always grew in my tank, they would eventually die off, and this is because (I just kearned this) tigger pods only survive in cold waters. I do not run my tanks cold enough to keep these guys.
What type of pods are actually the right pods to seed a tank with, in order to keep a mandarin properly fed and happy.
I know there are people here who keep mandies and I would like to know what you seed your tank with.
Thanks,
Rae
