Who here actually believes that their opinions on politics actually matter?

Political opinions count when you vote. Being a Republican it is obvious that our opinion counts since the President, Senate and Congress is run by Republicans and the margin gets bigger each election. So yea our opinion matters. And no the Democrats opinion doesn't matter at all.

why would anyone bother having a political opinion if they thought their opinion was meaningless and biased?

When you get to vote, Mr. Shubert, I'm guessing you will, too. (Are you able to vote yet?)
One should know why they choose what or whom they choose. Do you agree?
I do think it is very difficult to change another persons opinion on politics because it is tied into so many differnt facets of our lives. Talk about politics and there is almost always a religious debate, and so on. . .

True... True... Although there are reasons we discuss politics. It drives to the core of peoples values and beliefs. From there we can find those in this world that share our set of values. Hence binding relationships. Personally, I have been dealing a friend who has been sleeping with a 42 year old married woman. Supposedly, she has a deal with her husband. They are the swinger type I guess. The issue arises when I think about how I would never put myself in a situation like that. I asked him the other day if he knows anyone else who has been in this situation. He said no. There is a reason for that. It just boils down to what people feel is right vs. wrong. Just like politics...

doesn't matter now days, i believe one thing you believe another...america is heading down the crapper...our government is to bent on fixing stupid things and not fixing important things like health care because the few extremely rich people make such large donations like to keep things where they pay less...now i agree rich should pay less ..but i also agree poor should pay less..everyone should worry about themselves everyone should focus on there own retirement,own healthcare..yada yada...simply because obviously our government isn't going to do anything about...also i dont think the government should help people out...not in a country like ours is " supposed " to be
