Poll: Flame Angel or Coral Beauty?

Flame Angel. Much more brighter color, and a lot more to compliment the tank. But then again, how about getting another Coral Beauty so you don't make your system look identical to mine. :D
Come to think of it actually, once you get the appropriate amount of LR and DSB in your tank, you probably shouldn't get a fish that is big as a pygmy angel. So, to be safe, I would recommend nixing this idea all together. Stick with the smaller fish. Cause keep in mind also, you don't have a skimmer either. And your filter is not good. And a fish as big as a pygmy angel will throw your entire tank's water quality off big-time.
As is, your 29 isn't really appropriate for a pygmy with just the small pieces of LR that are in it now. There are some basslets that would fulfill the same color as the pygmy angels you are asking about, but remain only about 1.5 to 3 inches max and don't stress the bioload as much. Just something to consider.

Coral beauty seems to be a much hardier fish than the flame angel. All that I read for the most part is negative posts about the flame angel.

If your new a Coral beauty is a little hardier, but the Flam is nicer looking if your a little more experianced.

Personally the Flame is more attrative but I love the personality of Coral Beauties. Also keep in mind most people do not recommend Flame Angels in tanks that are established. Coral Beauties are also a pretty hardy fish.

Terry, thank you. I have been trying to explain this to him for ages.
No skimmer plus
Poor filter plus
Nowhere near enough LR plus
No cleanup crew plus
other things :D

I am trying to decide between these two also, Just curious, which of the two are better in a reef tank? I've read that a coral beauty might nip at the corals, will a flame do the same? Which one has a better personality?
Sorry to change the thread, but I didn't want to start my own with the same topic...

They are pretty much equally tempermental. If I am not mistaken, coral beauties are just a little bit safer. Both are known to nip at certain things. But, it's really luck of the draw about if the do or not. With fish like these classified the way they are for reefs, it honestly comes down to the specimen's individual personality and curiosity.

I had a coral beauty and he mowed down my xenias and he was picking at my other corals. I've had a Flame Angel for a year and a half and never had him pick at anything. My choise is the Flame Angel.
