Poll: how long have you had your anemone?

I had a long tentacle for over a year, it got too big and I gave to a friend about 6 months ago, its still doing great and bigger than ever :)

we've had a serbae for about almost a year now; don't think anything will kill off the aptasia one; pepermints keep it's offsrping in check though

i had a sebae (i'm guessing, never really figured out for sure) for a week before it decided to say hello to my powerhead <img src="graemlins//dead.gif" border="0" alt="[dead]" /> my roomate had a bubble anemone for about a year and it just recently wiltered away and hasn't been seen in a while. i won't get another one though. my clown didn't even like it anyway. :rolleyes:

I have eight in my 130 FOWLR/LS.Two large carpets that have been with me for well over two years,A monstaer aptaisia(six months),one unidentified( over one year),and four small unidentified on a rock I got(two months)...

I have a sebae for about 1 1/2 years now. He's been through alot including a power head that chopped all but 3 tentacles of his about 8 months ago. He received a serious trimming but fully recovered,

With that said, if you plan on getting one try to get a captive bred anemone, and do as much research on their care as possible. Some are much hardier than others, and some are near impossible to keep alive. They can be one of the hardest creatures to keep, and a mature tank with proper lighting and water quality is a must. HTH
