Poll: Test Tube Cleaning.

yes, all the time. I can't afford to waste a test because i got a bad reading from not cleaning it. Those things are expensive. :eek:

I empty the colored solution, rinse well with tap water, and the caps, then repeatedly fill about halfway with tap water and put the caps on and shake them vigorously. I do this several times to each tube and cap. then I dry the outside and inside with a clean paper towel, and put them all back into the test kit box.

Rinse very well with tap water, wipe them off, and then let them air dry the rest of the way.
Although I did read someplace that your not supposed to do this with a copper test tube because the copper can stick around in the test tube and lead to false readings after that. What do you think?

I rinse them with hot water and let the air dry also. The reason I asked is that those chemicals are really foul and I couldn't tell if I was getting the tubes clean enough before putting them in the tank.
