Poly Filter

I used copper to treat my tank so I went out and purchased a poly filter today. I want to know if I should remove my regular filter pad and replace it with the poly filter, or if I should just place the poly filter on top of the regular pad or below the regular pad? Any suggestions?

THe carbon doesnt work as well as the poly filter. I just need to know whether to put the poly filter above or below the regular filter pad.

It will work on top or under your normal filter pad.
I've used polys both ways.
I put the poly filter under to try and reduce it from fouling to soon from particulate matter, and allows to remove the normal filter pad for cleaning.

Alright, I put the poly filter in my tank last night and tonight it is already turned blue. SHould I : 1.)continue to leave the poly filter in and if so for how long? 2.)take the poly filter out and rinse it and then put it back in? or 3.)take the poly filter out and leave it out?

REMOVE the poly filter when you are done it wont work any more but they are great filters to have and they also make a ro di unit called the kold unit expensive but they say it dose not strip mine{take things out of the water minerals like others do}.I think poly filters could be placed generaly anywhere so on top or bottom which ever you chose.
