'Poly Filters"

Does anyone have any experience with "Poly Filters"? I saw on a competitor website that they absorb all types of phosphate.

I have seen those filters. I use the regualr polyfiber filter media. Ive seen one for phosphate and carbon. I dunno if they are any good. Id be interested to know also.

I have used them for years and will always have some around for emergancies. They come in very handy for many things. Color change to show what happend. They do a great job pulling DOC's out of the water as well as phosphates. Great for using in case of flatworm problems. GREat for pulling toxins out of the water column.

No, I wouldn't, they wind up kinda expensive. Just use them when something is wrong with the tank or for occational water polishing in a canister with carbon., or cut it to fit a hob filter.
