i have a few hitch hikers on my live rock. i cant tell if they are polyps or anemones. they have arms radiating out from the mouth area. the largest is approx. 1/2 inch in diameter. they are a purplish in color with a clear stalk. there are a few of them spread out over the rocks but most are verry small. they seem to be anchored in one place though which leads me to think that they are polyps. what do you think???

They kinda pinkish purple? If so it sounds like aptasia, evil buggers. They in clusters with spliced bases OR singularly scattered around? Pic's would help.

i would post pics but im still tryin to figure out how. they are more of a purple/ brown than a pinkish color. they are living singly. ( but i have found about 6 of them, and most are less than 1/2 long and 1/4 inch in diameter)
