I have a 37gal reef tank w/live rock and sand, 2 percula clowns 1 algae blenny, 1 sleeper goby, 1 mandarin dragonet, 1 scarlet cleaner shrimp and various button anemonies, crabs, snales and the like. I also have a patch of green star polyps. for equipment i am running a wet-dry sump with a proteen skimmer, 1 powerhead in the tank and 3 75W vho lights(1 actinic,1 50-50, and 1 10,000k. My problem is that my ph is always low, like 7.4-7.8 The last couple of weeks I have been adding a ph buffer, and that helps but it goes down again after acouple of days. I just added the lights filter and skimmer about 3 weeks ago (before that i just had an eclipse hood)I would be grateful for any help, thanks

Try adding kalkwasser daily. Not only is it good for the calcium level but it also keeps the PH up.

I have decided to do a water change. my lfs doesn't recomend water changes but everyone else does, so I will. I don't have any hard corals yet and my ca is at 420, should I still add kalkwasser?
