i was looking at getting a pair of dwarf seahorses soon and although i do not mind the hatching of brine shrimp i was wondering if anyone has tried to train there dwarf sehorses to eat anything else.somthing dead or frozen.

you can try it....but its very hard to do this because of how often they breed...you can never guarantee the new ones will eat...especially being as tiny as babies are it would be even that much more difficult...you would always need to have bbs in the background just in case they ever changed their mind of had babies'
i just dont think it would be worth the trouble, because unless you watch it to make sure they eat...i'd be worried about making sure they get enough food ya know

I have read the very same thing. I did put live adult brine shrimp soaked in garlic to see what they would do. The adult ponies were more than happy to snick them up, even one of the juveniles managed to scarf one down, but the babies(even though they looked on drooling)snouts' are far to tiny to snick up the adult brine. I did try chopping up some frozen mysis, soaking it in garlic, and seeing what the ponies would do. They were curious, but did not eat it, and seemed very confused what this alien object was.

yes, you can...i used vitachem and naturose...selco is something you can use but is very fatty/oily so its not recommended to let them soak for very long in it.
