Pony tank Design

I'm trying to come up with cleaver ways to get flow into my dwarf seahorse tank with out blowing the little ponies out of the water.
So far I came up with this plan:
It involves using PVC, tubing, and eventually landscaping it with dead coral.
Any thoughts?

Most likely a canister filter. The return flow would be connected to the PVC pipe. The three PVC pipes standing vertically are drilled in and sealed to the bottom PVC. The bottom PVC is capped off at the end.
To release water back into the tank I'm planning to use tubing
with holes punctured into it. And to finish it off I'll cover it with dead rock or coral.

As long as water is being pushed through it, seems like a great idea. Wonder if it will stir up the sand though.

I think it would stir up the sand. What I have found is bounce the flow off the back wall tends to minimize serious currents in the water. And I would not reccommend dead coral as this is hard rough stuff and horses may hitch to it hurting themselves

I hope this helps. This design is for my dwarf seahorses. My goal with this was to slow the flow down. The only openings from the PVC bottom tube are to the smaller PVC tubes pointing up into the tank. The Plastic tubing, connected to the smaller PVC's are the only part that are going to have actual hole punched in them. The rest of the pipes and tubing will be sealed off. My hope is that this will created a "fountain" effect, causing the released water to buffer the surface water, with out blowing the little ponies all over.

So now that i have a plan. What would be the best thing to use to seal the PVC pipes?
