Hey everyone....well, i'm very sad today....i had to put one of my damsels to rest yesterday......my other two wouldn't stop beating it up and it was suffering for far too long.....now i don't think i'll get those fish again.....i'm soon going to get rid of the other two in there....meanies.....now that my cycle is through.....i can't wait to get my clowns though.....i just hope i won't have to go though that with one of them.....i was just wondering if anyone can tell me if clowns will befriend feather-dusters like they do anemonies??? and also if anyone knows how hard it is to keep feather dusters (feeding and lighting and water motion) anything special i have to do with it? I want some sort of color in my tank....it only has LR, LS, and soon to be gone damsels....anyway i want to try sponges and/or dusters.....or even tube anemonies....i hear that they are easier to take care of than true ones.....well if anyone can tell me what i'm about to get into....any advise will be great......
sad day....so sad day

i know what you mean, my electric blue damsel was very cool but it was a mean and attacked my poor clown, had no choice but to give it away...
I doubt the clown will "be-friend" or host a feather duster, feather dusters go right back into the tube when touched, Feathers are fairly easy to keep, they need little light and i believe you feed it phytoplankton(comes in a bottle ask your local fish store about it), they dont like much current so give it little or no current, dont know much about sponges but just dont let it be exposed to air, becareful. tube anomies are easy to keep, doesnt matter about lighting, feed it anything from flakes, mysis or brine shrimp, very easy IMO, i have one.

Feather dusters should be fine for you to keep, but sponges are a little exotic in their care requirements. The only one's I've ever seen happen to be in very shaded undersides of LR, and they seem to require very little light. I would do a search on the subject, but I'll warn you not to read the one by Mr. Bubbles about his Giant Sponge. It's an interesting read, but it's so long and powerful you may be sucked into some evil vortex.
