My poor green goby's top fin is almost gone, it looks like it was ripped off. Do you think it is from another fish, or is something else wrong? Please, any answers are welcome, he is my favorite.
Did this just suddenly happen? Or have you noticed fin deterioation over time? What kind of goby is it? What kind of tank do you have it in and what are you feeding your fish?
I just noticed it one day when I got home from work. He was fine that morning. None of the other fish has any signs of any problem. I feed them silversides and shrimp at night, and bryn shrimp and seaweed and sinking seaweed pellets in the morning.
I bet with be aggression from another fish. Is the fin ragged and frayed, or does it look like its been bitten off?
Keep an eye on the tank and see if you notice any aggression going on. Of course, don't let the fish see you eyeing them.
It just looks like it is not there anymore, it does not look torn, it looks like a clean cut edge. He is fine, he still swims around, and he likes to swim with my shark.
Thank You For Getting Back To Me,
Nikki
