pop eye

i have corals and fish in my saltwater tank. i just noticed one of my lyretails has pop eye. i was wondering what would be a safe medication to use in my tank or should i let it run its couse until healed? :help:

There is no medication that you can use to treat this in tank. Do a 20 percent water change and soak quality foods in freshly minced fresh garlic prior to feeding. If that does not resolve the problem, then the fish will require a QT and a course of antibiotic treatment.

Agreed, no medication is usually necessary as this is more a condition than a disease. However if there is also a bacterium or virus along with the condition of pop eye then the only way to treat it is by using a Hospital tank, then the proper meds can be used.
