I purchased a 7" porc puffer from LFS. Employee was new and attempted to net as oppose to bucket the porc. Need-less-to-say, the porc puffed and the employee freaked. Poor puff took on air fo approx 15-20 sec until a more experienced employee submerged him, uprighted him and burped him. When I got him home, acclimated him and placed in the tank, he appeared fine. The next day, I noticed a thumb sz white spot behind his right fin. The next day, the spot expanded. Now, 3 days later, the spot is business card sized. It almost looks as if his skin is being eaten away like cancer. The darker spot still remains, but the normally dark grey/brown back ground color in this area is white. The spines within the "spot" look inflamed. Today, it alomost looks like the spot is bulging. He now also has a small "ulcer??" near one of his eyes. I caaled the LFS and they said it was probably stressed infunced fungal infection and to use Melafix. I have only been treating for one day now, but it doesn't look good. What is this and what can I do to heal him. Thanks

just continue the melifix and garlic up its food.
also put the end of an air line(without an airstone) like an inch under the water in the corner. melifix reduces the ability for the water to hold Oxy. so add a lil bit
are you sure all the air got out when it was burped.
is it active/eating

The porc is eating fine. I have never had a porc, always S&S. The porc usually eats at night. It eats 1 med shrimp + any of the clean up crew that is daring enough to be out. His skin looked a little better this evening, BUt I am really concerned. A for the air??? I have never had one actually suck air as this one had. His balance seems to be fine and neutrally boyant
