Porcupine puff only eats at night, why?

Well for awhile my puffer didn't eat when I first got him, now he eats, but only at night. During the day now he just hides and layes on the bottom. I'd like him to come out more during the day so we could admire him more. any input would be great!!

some fish are nocturnal only eats at night like the loin fish are nocturnal too.

How long have you had it in your tank? I have one with a dwarf fuzzy lion, triggers and a lunare wrasse he spend most of the time under a piece of tabletop coral skeleton, BUT when he sees me coming he is out at the front of the tank wagging like a little puppy that hasen't eaten in days. It took about a week for him to get comfortable with his surroundings. Mine loves krill and silversides.
