porcupine Puffer arched back??

We bought a very yong porcupine puffer yesterday and seemed fine yesterday after he went into the tank for the first time. We woke up this morning and the puffers back is arched almost like hes trying to fold himself in half. Im just wondering if he may have went to the top of the tank and got a somatch full of air. I know swallowed air can be dangerous to them.
Im wondering if I should worry about it or is it that hes just a little stressed out because to his new surroundings.
if it is a problem what should I do?
sorry for the low quality photo

Keep an eye on him and make sure that he is eating. Look for any white spots. They are a sign of disease. I forget what the name is. It is some disease that puffers get, but it is almost always lethal and there is no cure. He might be getting thin and that makes him look "arched?" Maybe a porcupine expert will have a better idea as to what is going on.

Did he "puff" at all when you got him yesterday...either at the LFS when they "caught" him or at home while you were acclimating or moving him...???

get ahold of your LFS imediately find out how long he was at your store if he was just acclimated to their tanks he might be stressing to double acclimation.I had this happen once.now i make sure eash species i purchase has been in the LFS at least 2 weeks before purchasing puffers are normally very hardy fish but when they get stressed they seem to crash out fast try using some melafix in your tank just for 3 days remove carbons this if caught soon enough can reduce the stress level for your new freind.yes this is safe for all fish will not harm inverts

Same thing with my puffer. that seems to be his chilling out pose. He gets that way when he is sleeping. Altough your puffer has a significantly more pronounced hump than mine. Still mine is healthy and hungry and has the hump.
