Porcupine Puffer & Humu Trigger

So I got another 75 gallon up cycled and running and moved my about 3 1/2 - 4 inch porcupine puffer into it. I pulled him from my other salt water tank because he was starting to get really aggressive towards my dog face the past few days after no issues between those two for almost 2 months. I also added a humu into the 75 with the porcupine which is a tad bit smaller than the puffer. About 5-10 minutes in tank together the trigger started going after the puffer really aggressive. I was able to separate the 2 for the night with a divider for the night. Does anybody think this will pass or should I look for another option to go in there with the porcupine? I am also looking long term since once move to bigger place in the spring getting at least a 200 gallon tank. Thanks again for all the help

We all dream of a bigger tank lol :p

I'm no fish expert but triggers dont go with lionfish because they pick at there spines. Could be the same for p uffers. A simple marine fish compatibility chart will help ya out. just Google it.

trigger fish like to be the dominant fish in the tank so when they are first introduced in to a system they are gona be mean untill the trigger is shure all the fish know that it runs the tank. i think this is the case and it will pass. but with triggers but normaly not humu triggers, trigger fish will attack other fish just for the fun of it. but this is probaly not the case. when you take the divider out feed the fish to take their mind off each other. if the aggression doesnt die down in two days you should start to worry.
