porcupine puffer

I recently added a porcupine puffer to my aquarium. He is extremly shy and is always hiding, is this normal? What can I do to perk him up? I have observed the tank and he does not seem to be getting bullied. Also, there are no physical signs of disease. He simply seems very depressed and extremly shy. I would appreciate any advice for I am new to puffers.

Puffers are usually very shy when first introduced to a new tank. Just give him time to get used to his new environment and new tankmates. He'll be fine

Mine was extremely shy for a couple of weeks and now he is at times very active. Just give him time to get used to his surroundings and people who take care of him. Mine will only accept handfed food from me.
