They get big, my lfs had one that was about 18", as for the clown it would depend on what kind of clown, and the individual aggressiveness of the puffer they can range from peaceful to just plain nasty.

One of the highest waste producing fish you can put in a home aqaurium.
Puffers Bombs look like there has a canadian goose somewhere in your tank when they let loose.
They do get large and they prey mainly on inverts and will chew on corals and rocks, they can be peaceful and friendly all the way to manaical blood thirsty little guys. Shouldnt bother a clown when small but when larger they might try something. They sometimes will go after flowing fins or elaborate tankmates leaving the tell tale hole punch looking bite mark out of them.
They tend to show extreme personality and many consider them the "smartest" fish. Playing games and chirping at the water surface,..spitting water as you walk by the tank. Very interactive but some DO have meanstreaks and they get large enough to do an aweful lot of damage if you house a mean one.
