Possible Coral Disease?

I have a coral (don't know the name) that consists of polyps that open up to be little cups (pencil eraser size). It has developed this marshmellow cream looking stuff between the polyps. Is this OK or should I be concerned?

Can someone point me to a post about coral diseases and coral identification? Thx. Ms. T

Does it look like this? If it does it is a sponge and I wouldn't worry about it. I have had this coral and sponge for 4 months (My dad had it for years before that) and it has been perfectly fine. As for the coral you would have to post a picture of it or something if you wanted someone to identify it.
