Possible Emergency

I was going into my stand tonight and noticed some moisture on the bottom of the stand. After looking a little more into I see some water spots on the inside walls of the stand also. It is not like a puddle of water, just moisture. Is this as serious as I think it is or is a little moisture around the seals natural? If this is a problem is there anyway to fix it without breaking the tank down or is that the only option? Any help would be appreciated.

This could very well be the start of a very serious problem...You should try to dry the wet spots, and figure out exactly where this water is comming from...Most likly a seam in the tank is leaking. If so,the only way to fix it is to tear down the tank. This is why it is important to know exactly what you are dealing with before you start any repairs...

Oh man :(
If you've already eliminated the cause of this moisture as a result of condesation collecting ( doubtful), or any possible splashing from sump ( if you have one ) Mr Salty's advise is very sound.
I had a 30 long develop a leak on day one of setup and it's no fun.
How old is the tank ?
Warrenty in affect still ?

the same thing happened to me in my old 29 gallon..it wasn't old but i call it old cause i had to trash it! Anyways the water line dropped and there was water on the floor around the tank and stand...I put 2 and 2 together and transfered EVERYTHING to a new tank! I rushed out and bought my 46bow... most things lived.

Well, I have moved everything to a temp 20 gal tank and this sucks!!!!! Would the tank still be salvagable if I put new seal in it after I completely emptied it or should I just trash it so that it wont bite me again?

Guess that is your call -
Hey what size tank is it by the way ???
If a small tank - personally I would get a new one, and maybe try and fix the old one later, for another use someday.
If a larger more expensive tank - repairs would be worthwhile $$$

one thing to remember when resealing a tank is to make sure you cut the old seal out with a razor blade and THEN reseal it. if you don't do that, then the new seal will never hold.
