I have a new 55 gal. tank (a month old). I had five damsels survive about three weeks then I added a diamond goby and clown fish. Within a week of the new additions all the fish died (all within a few days). Symptoms included a little brown mucus and very few white spots. The fish would develop the spots and mucus then within a day they would begin breathing heavy and swimming eradicately, then die. Snails, plants, pest anenenomes, and I think coppepods in the sand are all doing well while fish were sick and now after. I did a water change and put in new chemi-pure charcoal. Does anyone have any thing that could help? When should I try again with new fish? Ammonia, nitrite and PH have been tested and all look good. Thanks.
