I am installing a new sump/refuge and a new skimmer. My question is once I set it up in garage, waiting on new pump to come. I noticed the skimmer possible was too tall for tank. The tank is a 27 gl. 36x13x12 tank. The baffle for the skimmer section is only 9 inches high so the water lever will only be 9 inches in the sump? My skimmer is a Reef Octopus NW 110 new. I seem to have read that I need 10 inches of water to run this one. I am confused now, new to salt and skimmers. Is this skimmer not going to work. Bought it after much reading here and advice from forum. Had tank built with it in mind but did not even thing water lever would be an issue in it. Can you guys give me some info. Not much help on website for skimmer. Thanks
