I feel these awesome fish are under appreciated, they are colorful, hardy, peaceful and active. I'm not sure why everyone dosen't have one. Post pics of yours and be sure to mention what kind it is too. (if you know) I have a redhead (aka solar or clown) fairy and hes my favorite fish. Sadly, my camera isn't any good for active fish pics...

nice wrasses everyone. detguy, do u keep all those in the same tank? I saw a whipfin yesterday for a good price but didn't get it. i don't know if my solar would be happy and the whipfin didn't look to hot.(nothing like carrieabns) BTW that one flasher is ridiculous, shame he died on you.

yes i do keep all of those in the same tank..i will give you a heads up on that whipfin..they are some of them most aggressive of fairys lots of peeps i know had to get rid of the one they had due to this.i had one and it was a very pretty fish but was just nasty and would not let any other fairy in the tank with it..or flasher...the tonos is the same way...i have another thread also with pics of my fish..it has pics of different fairys that i have kept in a few tanks

Which species of fairy/flasher wrasse do you think would get along with my solar? he has been in the 55 for several months now.

55 gal reef with solar, false perc, and a PJ cardinal. Can you give some examples of kinds that might work? I'd really like another wrasse but i'm afraid my solar would attack it.

i have always heard that soloernsis can be nasty... the two males and female that i have kept were far from that..but then again every fish is different..one of the keys is to switch up color, size and shape..but you can keep some that look the same with a little work and a larger tank..with that being said if it were me i would try one of the smaller fairys like the lubbocks, yellowfin, if you can get one i really love the debelius's..c. adornatus..some others would be social..i would say red fin but they can be pretty aggressive...the conde's or red velvet like i just got is nice as well...as for flashers i think any of them should be fine..my favorites are the line-spot and red sea flasher which are not easy to find around here..hope that helps if you need any other info just drop me a line

Make sure your flasher is bigger then your solar. My solar wanted no parts of the flasher I added to my tank.
