POST SPS tanks and thoughts!!!!!!!!!!

changing my 90 gallon reef from lps and softies in to sps..have halides and everything set just need to know how much light and how to tell if there is too much light. all flow conserns and how to set the flow to be good please anything you can think of!!!!!

I would do 2x175 watt MH's, and some VHO actinic. 2 modded Maxijet 1200, and mabey a maxijet 900 for behind the rocks.

i have 2 96 watt pc..2 150 halide (hqi) and 2 32 watt pc for the sides of the tank...what is so special about the VHO and how do i mod the maxijets

I would go with 2 250 watt MHs. As for flow, if money isn't a issue go with the VorTech pumps or go with the Sieos or Tunze. These three types of pumps have a wide soft pattern instead of a jet that will blow the tissue off you corals.

IMO iw ouldnt og with powerheads, i woul;d use a cloose loop system with a wavemaker so you get random off and on flow for SPS isted of just blowing the same way allt he time
