Maybe this could be stickied but i feel like diagrams of others sump/plumbing set up will help people get an idea of where to start.
Myself i like to see what makes things work instead of reading it, a diagram helps me and may help others.
As i dont have a sump yet i'd love to start getting some ideas!
so get photoshop running or brush off your MS paint skills lets see what you got!

Your pickup line needs to be longer for your skimmer. When water level gets low enough you will be drawing in alot of air.

That could be the problem I am having, I seem to have microbubbles in the tank, I brought the tank a week ago and since setting it up again we have had bubbles, although the prev owner didnt.

Make sure the return pump to the tank is away from the overflow outlet from the skimmer, watch the return pump area to see if bubbles are entering the return pump, next tighten all your lines to ensure you are not drawing in air.
Any pics?

Okay a quick couple question's:
1) What is that made out of, Acrylic?
2) How big is it?
3) How big is your DT?
4) What is your GPH?
I did notice that someone commented about a skimmer line that was too short down the line, was that one person talking about your set-up or someone else's? I ask cause there are some blank post's on there and I wasn't sure if someone was trying and couldn't get them to post. I am thinking about stealing your idea, sorry, but someone today told me I should go with the sump/refuge so now I am thinking about it, but still not sure.
