My guys, or gals???
I do have a question.......My sailfin is dessert plate size and still yellow, not that I am complaining...I like the yellow, but when do you think it will change color? I hope never, but I know that it will some day anyone know?

The top pic is my Blonde Naso and Sailfin in my 180 I had before my current tank. They were the best of buddies...always together. Sometimes it looked like they were doing synchronized swimming! They stayed in Miami

The second is my 125 now. The sailfin's still a baby and is such a wonderful fish...!

Here is my favorite tang. Hawaiian Naso Unicorn. His horn is a little bigger and he is getting his streamer tail now.

Thanks, Dogstar. Your pic is helpful. I have had mine now for about 1 year. He has grown about 1-2 inches all the way around. Sure is a pig though, loves his algae sheets. Him and the rabbitfish look like they are eating spaghetti with the sheets....one on each end!!! Sure is a sight.
I was at the LFS today and saw the tiniest sailfin for sale, 2-3 inches at the most and it was completely white with brown already. Just a thought, could it be where it is caught? Or diet? Gender? Don't know, but just wondering why some stay yellow for so long and others turn white much quicker. Inquiring minds want to know.......

Here is my Kole Tang...aka yellow eye tang.
"The Kole Tang has a very interesting history from Ancient Hawaiian times. It was considered as "Royal" food and was kapu (forbidden) to be caught or eaten by anyone accept Royalty. The penalty, if found with the Kole, was death. Remember, if you have one of these fish, it has a very sacred history with the Hawaiian people, and in Hawai'i today is prized as a delicacy. "
