Posting reference/informational websites

I was reading the thread about posting websites and was wondering if any policy changes have been made recently? Thread writen in 2002
I was thinking that some scientifically genuine and reliable links would benefit some of the new ppl as well as myself.
P.S. I hope this isnt such an outlandish question, and I hope not to ruffle any feathers...

Any time I have seen links posted they are usaly wiped out.

only links that sell stuff that SWF.com sells are deleted, they dont want any compotition, but there is LOADS better compotition
