Potter's angel nippng at clam

No probelms for the first 2 weeks with the new derasa clam bt now my potter's angel consistently nips at the clam mantle and the clam only remains about 10% open. Anyone wait the behavior out or have they found it to just get worse? I anitcipate that I'll have to take one back to the LFS.
The clam will be a bit easier to catch but of course that's what I want to keep

Then say bye bye to the angel. And i would not keep an angel in a 30 something...:nope:
