Both also get large and like lots of swimming space. Should be ok while small, but will out grow that tank.

If you add them at the same time and similar in size.I have a Powder Brown and Desjardini Sailfin, they are the best of friends. Both swim together and will not leave each other sides.

these two will normally get along even when not added at the same time - the tangs will fight with another recognizeable member of their own specie (meaning same body shape) As stated above though they, together, are going to outgrow that tank eventually - recomended tank size for one is 125ga (6ft long)

Thanks!
The tank is 6ft long. I had a Koran in there but it started changing and began picking at my corals. The Koran and Sailfin were best buds.
If not the powder blue any other suggestions? Purple tang

Get them small like 3'' will give you a couple of years before they outgrow your system. Its the Sailfin that grows huge(15'')not the Powder Blue(9'').None the less, its the swimming space and not the actual size of the fish.Purple tang is fine, add it last or at the same time as the other tang. They can be mean, aggressive boogers.
You could always go with a tang from the Ctenochaetus family. They don't grow as large, usually max out at 6-7''.The Yellow Eye or Blue Eye Kole and Bristletooth Tomili comes to mine.
