now the stuff that was on my tang all fell off of him its all gone? what is going on here?

If it was ich, it'll be back. It goes through a cycle. Leaves the fish and goes in LR or Substrate and reproduces then free swims looking for a host (fish). When ich first appears it usually does seem to disappear for a day or two. But it will come back!
