i have a powder blue tang that has ick and i cant net him for the life of me. i have lots of rock that i dont want to destroy, how can i treat him in this tank. please keep in mind its a 280 gallon tank. to treat it with any medication would be costly and unsafe.

i have no other fish showing any signs of ick. as far as inverts .....yes i have a few. i guess i will have to keep trying to catch him. i hate this part of it. i set up my tank to never have to take anything out. just like everyone else. however this one is small and can go into places that the other fish cant go. as far as treating him forst. no i have a clown trigger in my Qtank for a friend that will eat him up. its pretty big and my qtank is 29 gallons. i gave him a fresh water dip but i guess that was not good enough. i am so ashamed. bad mistake. wont him contaminate the whole tank sooner or later?

Never ever under any circumstances dont QT your fish.It most of the time a disaster if you dont QT your fish. I think its one of the most important things in the hobby.
