Power Compact lighting

So it is okay to put PC lights right on top of the tank? If I put them that close, it is an open top tank, that will put the lights about 1 1/2" to 2" from the water surface. Is that okay? I had them closer than I do now but I was getting a little splash on them and salt deposits. The lights have a clear shield over the bulbs but I wasnt sure if this was ok.

Ok, I wasn't so much worried about the heat as I was the splashing. It is sealed but as with alot of things, saltwater has a tendency to corrode things over time. I wasn't sure if that was going to be a problem. I will lower them so I can get some more light in there. THanks.
