Power filter doesn't fit tank!

I recently bought a Hagen Aquaclear 300 power filter for my new 75 gallon All-glass aquarium. This tank seems to have an extra wide lip. The Hagen power filter is too narrow to fully straddle the back of the tank lip. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if this tank has a wider lip than older All-Glass tanks but I noticed when I bought it that it noted that they now put Silicone all the way around the lip. Was wondering if that might be why the lip is wider if it in fact is. I'm contacting All-Glass...will post what I find out.

AllGlass has indeed redesigned their line of tanks. New design for brace and one piece upper rim support.
May have to look into another filter, or try something different.
Just got a 75E last month - I saw what you have described.
I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say ..
