i wont talk from my -$$ so i will answer a few of these q's.
i have two PH's. optimal is gph is x20.(to your tank size) so your filter, powerheads, skimmer, and anything else moving water should hit that mark. (that is on the high side but i think that is better....you are trying to imitate the ocean and it has got alot of movement)
i put mine in the top back right corner(blowing left) and on the top front left corner (blowing right) i keep them at the top to agitate the water and get the oxygen in there. i use maxijet. prepare yourself for alot of different opinions, especially on theis subject. the reason is that all of the rock, and reef setups are different, and need water flow from diffrent directions, and at different rates.

Rule of thumb...you want 10-15 times your tank size moving every hour for FOWLR. When you start adding corals and anemones, you want 20-25 times the size of your tank moving every hour. In your case, I would get 3 smaller PHs so with the combined flow of your filter, skimmer and PHs, you should be around 1200GPH. Placing the PHs is different for every tank. As long as you have all of your water moving and no dead spots, you will be good.

I have 1300 and something turnover in my 55 giving me 25.something in turnover and that is good IMO. You want some places with high flow and some places with low flow cause not all corals want high or low flow areas.
