O.K. ya'll might think this is a really dumb question but, i have to ask. We set up our aquarium about 3 months ago and I am not sure if i have enough powerheads in the tank. It is a 55 gal. I have 1 powerhead on each side they are up high. on the left side it is towards the back of the tank and aimed slightly towards the back and on the right side it is towards the front angled slightly at the fron glass and then in the back center i have 1 powerhead aimed straight at the front glass. Is that enough?? should i have some lower in the tank?????
TIA

Actually, sounds like more than enough. My 40gal only had one,And my 125 has two. Both have plenty of water movement. The only change I would do is to make sure one is moving water at the bottom to keep stuff from settling on the substrate. Also, too much movement can stress the fish out. They do need a calm place to rest and sleep....STEVE

Hi, generally, you want to be turning the tank over 7 times an hour. Living in Australia, we use the metric system so I can give you an idea in litres. My tank is 700 litres. I have a 3100 litres per hour (LPH) return pump, and 2 powerheads each of around 1600 LPH capacity placed inside the tank itself.

depending on what you all have in the tank.... Keep one high and one low to keep stuff from setteling on the bottom,,,
