The power head i bought for my 90g tank which is still cycling has a small hose that can be attached to it to put O2 in the tank. Do you people recommend that I use this or just leave it off. Thanks
I dont use them either. They create way too many bubbles. As far as being dangerous I was told micro bubbles have the potential to come between the eye lense and eyeball causing a clear bubble to form on the eye. I dont know if it is possible I tend to think that is bacteria caused but I dont like the look of bubbles in my tank anyway.
Those air tubs are of no use in a s/w tank. I have heard of the same thing jimi talked about, and I think that is what happened to one of my fish awhile back. If you are running a skimmer then that is enough air in your tank. Good Luck
you dont even need a skimmer for good amount of air. i dont have one yet, but i should get it tomorrow. as long as you have good surface agitation you should have good gas exchange. then if you have good current then youll have good amount of oxygen throughout your tank.
