My tank has been cycling now for the last 3 weeks, and all of my levels have came down to normal range except for the ammonia. However it has shown a decline to 0.25. 55 gal, wet/dry with bio balls filter/sump, 2 402 PH, 300 watt heater, berlin skimmer, 55 lbs LR, 60 LS. I have arranged the PH's on the back rim, but have turned the nozzles so that the jet streams cross over the LR. Is it better to have the PH's in the tank, as oppose to on the rim of the tank? What can I do to bring down the ammonia to "0" level? Can I add some inverts, or just wait for cycling to finish. Right now there is a smell that hitched a ride in the LS, and something that looks like a upside down mushrooom, that opens and closes from time to time.
