Powerhead direction help?

Installing a couple of powerheads tonight to add flow to my young reef tank.
I have been told to aim them at each other to create turbulence.
I was thinking on putting them on the back top at either end and aim them towards the middle top front.
Please let me know what would be best.
48" tank 80 gallon bow
Hydor Koralia 2 (2 pumps)

That's how I aim mine. They are in the back corners pointed towards the front center.

just try to make sure you have good flow across the top for gas exchange
and good flow across the bottom so detritus won't settle.

with were your planing on putting them, and the type of tank, adding the power like the koralia is a very good idea. they'll be perfect there. i like bow front and the koralia are really good so your gonna be very satisfied.

What is the best way to get flow across the bottom without putting a powerhead right on the bottom where it will suck up sand.....and also so it won't stir the sand up so much that the water is always cloudy.

I put a small PH about 1 inch from the bottom in the rear of my tank behind all my LR. The rear has the circulation while my diamond Goby keeps the front in good shape. Seems to work 4 me
